I find this picture in BlogTO by Ronnie Yip to be extraordinary; The Ontario Coalition Against Poverty, a well-known group of rabble-rousers is preparing to march, and the police are out in force. But unlike the Battle of Seattle, the police are out to meet them, not in head-to-toe riot gear but on bikes! In shorts! Only in Canada could a police state look so civilized.
