http://www.access.gpo.gov/nara (see, 76 FR 35942, June 20, 2011). This notice is coming out the same week as the Bloomberg News article detailing the extensive "aluminum corrosion" on the simarly built, and even more recent, US Navy Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) also built at the same Austal shipyard in Mobile, Alabama. (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-06-17/navy-finds-aggressive-corrosion-on-austal-s-combat-ship-1-.html) An email that I received from MARAD states that there has been no testing done on the two vessels.
