Millicent with Dan Parslow on lead guitar, Roger Jacobs on bass and Evan Meek on percussion WHERE: The Storybook Theatre of Hawaii Children's Peace Garden 3814 Hanapepe Road Hanapepe, Kauai, 96716 WHEN: Friday, September 25th 6:30 to 9 pm The artist's artist and brilliant contemporary music maker, Millicent Cummings returns to Storybook Theatre to host a benefit concert called 'A Roof Raiser', in the Spark M. Matsunaga International Children's Garden for Peace (a.k.a. Sparky's Garden) on Friday, Sept. 25 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Sparky's Garden is located in back of the Storybook Theatre building in Hanapepe and was recently dedicated for use as an outdoor classroom for peace education. Sparky's Garden is in it's final phases of construction and funds are needed now to complete the amphitheatre's roof. The last constructional phase completed last month saw the erection of beautiful native Kauai timbers for the roof's support. Admission to the event is free and open to all with donations being gratefully accepted to help with the roof raising. Refreshments will be available and the Storybook Theatre's gift shop, as well as all of Hanapepe Town, will be open for Friday night's festive 'Art Night'. Millicent Cummings is a twenty-five year practitioner and promoter of the Arts, award winning singer, songwriter, guitarist and performer, multi-media fine artist, producer, teacher, activist, and mother. September 25th, she will be accompanied by two of Kauai's finest musicians. Dan Parslow will pour on the guitar with Roger Jacobs down with the bass. Special guests are also rumoured to appear.
